Bruce, Robert Randolph


BRUCE, Robert Randolph, engineer, mine owner, lt gov 1926–31 (b 16 July 1861, St Andrew-Lhanbryde, Scotland; d 21 Feb 1942, Montreal). The son of a clergyman, he studied engineering at the Univ of Glasgow and in 1887 immigrated to the US, then to Canada where he worked for the CPR.
