blewointment was a literary magazine founded in VANCOUVER by the poet bill BISSETT in 1963. The magazine, characterized by bissett's unconventional spelling and left-wing politics, appeared irregularly as a crude mimeograph until 1978. Contributors over the years constitute a veritable who's who of Canadian writing. bissett launched blewointment press in 1967 to publish books. He sold it in the mid-1980s and it continued as Nightwood Editions.
