Canadian Literature

CANADIAN LITERATURE, founded at UBC by George WOODCOCK in 1959, is a quarterly journal of literary commentary and reviews, the first devoted to Canadian writing. It also publishes poetry in each issue. Woodcock, the original editor, was succeeded in 1977 by William New, who was followed by Eva-Marie Kröller (1995–2003) and Laurie Ricou (2003–present). Over the years several anthologies of articles from the magazine have been published.
