Canyon

CANYON, a small fruit-growing and farming (see AGRICULTURE) community 6 km east of CRESTON, formed around a SAWMILL and pole yard operated by Canyon City Lumber Co from the early 1900s to the mid-1920s. It was named for the nearby GOAT R canyon. There is a school, community hall, general store and post office.
