CHRISTY, Jim, writer (b 14 July 1945, Richmond, VA). After extensive travels through the US and Mexico he moved to Canada in 1968 at the height of the Vietnam War. Settling first in Toronto, he founded the underground newspaper Guerilla, and began writing. His first book The New Refugees, appeared in 1972 and he has published steadily ever since, producing 19 books, including poetry, stories and 6 novels.
