CLIFF, Leslie, swimmer (b 11 Mar 1955, Vancouver). At age 16 she won 3 gold and 2 silver medals at the 1971 Pan American Games in Colombia. The next year she earned silver in the 400-m individual medley at the Munich Olympics. In 1973 she won gold at the US Amateur Athletic Union Championships and picked up 2 more golds in her specialties—the 200-m and 400-m individual medleys—at the Commonwealth Games in New Zealand.
