Cole, Douglas Lowell


COLE, Douglas Lowell, historian (b 9 Dec 1938, Mason City, WA; d 18 Aug 1997, N Vancouver). A graduate of George Washington Univ and the Univ of Washington, he came to BC in 1966 to teach history at SFU and he spent the rest of his career there. He became a Canadian citizen in 1974. His research came to focus on the history of white-aboriginal relations on the coast.
