COLE, Raymond J., engineer, researcher, teacher (b 1948). He grew up in the U.K., receiving a degree in civil engineering from City University, London and a PhD in architectural science from the University of Wales. In 1977 he began teaching at UBC, in what is now the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. His research and teaching relate to the environmental performance of buildings.
