COPP, Douglas Harold, physiologist (b 16 Jan 1915, Toronto; d 17 Mar 1998, Vancouver). He studied medicine at the Univ of Toronto and biochemistry at the Univ of California at Berkeley, where he taught during WWII. As an atomic energy researcher he was asked to take a loyalty oath in 1950, but instead moved to VANCOUVER and the new medical school at UBC.
