Criss Creek

CRISS CREEK, 45 km northwest of KAMLOOPS, was a grain and cattle-raising (see CATTLE INDUSTRY) settlement named after Christopher Pumpmaker, a rancher here in the 1870s. The district was most active between 1910 and 1960. Criss Crk itself flows into the Deadman R northwest of Kamloops Lk.
