Crown of the Continent


CROWN OF THE CONTINENT is the name given to the extreme southeast corner of BC and the neighbouring parts of Alberta and the US. A region of high, alpine-glaciated mountains (see GLACIATION), it includes Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, Glacier National Park in Montana and the AKAMINA–Kishinena Recreation Area (109.22 sq km) in BC.
