DAVIS, Wade, ethnobotanist, writer (b 1953). Raised in BC, he attended Harvard Univ and obtained a PhD in ethnobotany. He has conducted fieldwork in S America and Haiti, much of it related to the hallucinogenic properties of plants. His books describing this work are a unique combination of botany, anthropology and personal adventure story.
