DENTISTRY in BC is organized and governed by the College of Dental Surgeons of BC through the BC Dentistry Act. The college registers accredited dentists and certified dental assistants and enforces standards of education, practice and conduct. Once dentists are registered, they become members of the Assoc of Dental Surgeons; certified dental assistants have their own association. As well, dental hygienists have their own college.
