Discovery

DISCOVERY, or Pine City, was a GOLD mining camp on Pine Crk just east of ATLIN. It was founded in 1898 when prospectors flooded into the Atlin district. In 1899 there were as many as 3,000 miners on the creek and the town was booming. By 1915 the gold was gone and the town was virtually abandoned.
