Dome Creek


DOME CREEK, pop 80, named after nearby Dome Mt, is the largest settlement between PRINCE GEORGE and McBRIDE on the upper FRASER R. Originally a construction camp for building a GRAND TRUNK PACIFIC RWY bridge over the river, it once supported 3 SAWMILLS, which closed in the late 1960s when logs could be hauled to Prince George via the Yellowhead Hwy.
