Downs, Arthur


DOWNS, Arthur, writer, publisher (b 21 June 1924, England; d 13 Aug 1996, Aldergrove). He was a key figure in establishing modern BC MAGAZINE and BOOK publishing. After serving in the merchant marine during WWII, he began submitting historical articles to Cariboo Digest, a pioneer BC magazine published in QUESNEL by Alex Sahonovitch.
