DE CARLO, Yvonne (b 1 Sept 1922, Vancouver; d 8 Jan 2007, Los Angeles, CA). Born Peggy Yvonne Middleton, she was one of June Roper's dance students but made her mark in films after moving to Hollywood with her mother. She made her movie debut in 1942 and appeared in many popular westerns, comedies and adventure films. She was one of the great glamour queens of the popular cinema, and a list of her leading men reads like a Hollywood Who's Who: it includes Victor Mature, Clark Gable, David Niven...
