EGOYAN, Atom, filmmaker (b 19 July 1960, Cairo, Egypt). He grew up in VICTORIA, where he moved with his parents when he was a youngster. After finishing high school he attended the Univ of Toronto, where he became interested in theatre and FILMMAKING.
