FORBES, Roy, singer, songwriter (b 13 Feb 1953, Dawson Creek). He is one of BC's favourite folk entertainers. His first group was the Beatles-influenced Crystal Ship, formed in 1968 in DAWSON CREEK. In early 1971 he opened for the group Spring during its northern BC tour and was encouraged to move to VANCOUVER, where he recorded 4 albums over the next decade as "Bim," a childhood nickname.
