FOTHERINGHAM, Allan, journalist (b 31 Aug 1932, Hearne, SK; d 19 Aug 2020, Toronto). After graduating from UBC in 1954, he joined the VANCOUVER SUN as a sports reporter. In 1968 he began writing a daily column that quickly became the liveliest, most controversial reading in the paper, mixing an acid wit with solid political reporting.
