FRAME, Statira, artist (b 1870, Waterloo, QC; d 1933, Vancouver). Largely self-taught as a painter, she attended modelling classes at the Vancouver School of Art (see EMILY CARR INSTITUTE OF ART & DESIGN) and travelled to California to study briefly with Arnim Hansen in 1921. She was a member of the Vancouver Studio Club, the Vancouver Sketch Club and an early vice-president of the BC Society of Fine Arts.
