GISCOME, 30 km northeast of PRINCE GEORGE and 20 km southeast of GISCOME PORTAGE, was a station on the GRAND TRUNK PACIFIC RWY. A settlement formed here around the Eagle Lake SAWMILL, which was one of the largest in the Interior in the 1930s and the focus of an extensive truck LOGGING operation. It was dismantled in 1975.
