Gosnell, Joseph Sr "Joe"

GOSNELL, Joseph Sr "Joe," Nisga'a leader (b 21 June 1936, New Aiyansh; d there 18 Aug 2020). A former commercial fisher, he was elected president of the NISGA'A Tribal Council in 1992 and twice won re-election. He was lead negotiator for the landmark NISGA'A TREATY, which took almost 25 years to complete.
