HALLS PRAIRIE was an early FRASER VALLEY farming (see AGRICULTURE) settlement 26 km southeast of NEW WESTMINSTER in SURREY. Sam Hall, a trapper who traded with the HBC at FORT LANGLEY, lived here in the early 1860s. The first homesteaders arrived the next decade and by the 1880s a road, post office and school were in place.
