HARLOW, Robert, writer, teacher (b 19 Nov 1923, Prince Rupert). He was raised in PRINCE GEORGE and while still a teenager joined the RCAF and flew as a bomber pilot during WWII, earning a DFC. After the war he attended UBC and then the famous Writers' Workshop at the Univ of Iowa, where he acquired an MFA in 1951.
