Hawthorn, Harry and Audrey

HAWTHORN, Harry, anthropologist (b 15 Oct 1910, Wellington, NZ; d 29 July 2006, Vancouver); and Audrey, sociologist, museum curator (b 25 Nov 1917; d 18 Nov 2000, Vancouver). The couple met at graduate school in the US and in 1947 moved to VANCOUVER, where Harry had been offered a position at UBC's new department of anthropology.
