Human Rights

HUMAN RIGHTS in BC are governed by the Human Rights Code, introduced by the provincial government in 1996 to replace the 1984 Human Rights Act. The Code prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, political belief, sexual orientation, religion, marital status, family status, sex, physical or mental ability or age.
