Iglauer, Edith Theresa

IGLAUER, Edith Theresa, writer (b 10 Mar 1917, Cleveland, OH;d 13 Feb 2019, Sechelt). She earned her BA from Wellesley College and her MS from the graduate school of journalism at Columbia Univ. During WWII she worked for the Office of War Information, in the radio newsroom and as a member of Eleanor Roosevelt's circle of women journalists at the White House. She married the writer Philip Hamburger in 1942; in 1945 she joined him abroad and worked as a war correspondent for the Cleveland News...
