INTERNATIONAL PACIFIC HALIBUT COMMISSION (IPHC), established in 1923 as the International Fisheries Commission by a convention between Canada and the US, is a body that oversees the management and preservation of the HALIBUT resource of the north Pacific Ocean and the Bering Sea.
