Jamieson, Laura Emma (Marshall)

JAMIESON, Laura Emma (Marshall), judge, politician (b 29 Dec 1883, Park Head, ON; d 29 June 1964, Vancouver). A graduate of the Univ of Toronto, she married J. Stewart Jamieson, a lawyer, and moved to VANCOUVER in 1911. There she worked at the forefront of the WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE movement through her work for the University Women's Club and the Local Council of Women.
