JERICHO BEACH, in the Point Grey neighbourhood of VANCOUVER on the south shore of BURRARD INLET, became the site of a military Air Station for FLYING BOATS in 1920. Planes from the base engaged in a variety of civilian activities, including forest and fishery patrols, geological surveys, aerial photography, firefighting and general coast surveillance.
