JULIETTE, stage name of Juliette Augustina Sysak, singer, television star (b 26 Aug 1927, St Vital, MB; d 26 Oct 2017, Vancouver). One of the first performers from the BC music scene to gain national attention, she began her career as a 13-year-old singing at the Kitsilano Showboat in VANCOUVER, where Ivan ACKERY, a local theatre manager, heard her and spoke of her to Dal RICHARDS.
