Kitkatla

KITKATLA  () , pop 460, is a TSIMSHIAN fishing village on Dolphin Island about 65 km south of PRINCE RUPERT. The Kitkatla were the first group of Tsimshian to meet the maritime FUR TRADERS, probably in 1787. See also FISHING, ABORIGINAL.
