Kwaday Dan Sinchi


KWADAY DAN SINCHI was the name given to the 550-year-old human remains found by hunters frozen in a glacier near the BC–Yukon border in August 1999. These are the oldest preserved human remains discovered in Canada with flesh intact. Scientists were able to determine that Kwaday (or "Long Ago Person Found," as the name translates from the Tutchone language) was a young male, probably about 20 years of age, who likely died of exposure.
