KWAH, Carrier (Dakelh) chief (b circa 1755, Stuart Lake; d summer 1840, Fort St James). When FUR TRADERS arrived to build FORT ST JAMES on Stuart Lk in 1806, he was chief of the nearby village and became one of the principal suppliers of furs and fish to the post.
