LABOUR RELATIONS BOARD (LRB), established in 1993, is a dispute resolution agency of the provincial government. It operates under the Labour Relations Code, which governs all aspects of collective bargaining in the province. The chair of the board monitors all labour disputes in the province, may be asked to adjudicate the disputes, and informs the government when a dispute may require the designation of essential services.
