LAMMING MILLS, 180 km southeast of PRINCE GEORGE on the upper FRASER R and the CNR line, was a SAWMILLING town established by the 4 Lamming brothers, who moved here from Alberta in the mid-1940s. The mill operated until the 1960s and the village at one time had a population of 250. By the end of the 20th century only a handful of families lived in the area.
