Leavy Twins, Jack and Leo


LEAVY TWINS, Jack (b 23 Mar 1923; d 1988) and Leo (b 23 Mar 1923; d 1982), well-known residents of VANCOUVER, were listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest identical twins. They were born 20 minutes apart in 1923, and in adulthood they were 2.08 m in height and about 170 kg in weight. They grew up in the city and both graduated from UBC. Leo became a government meat inspector while Jack was a longtime health inspector in RICHMOND, but it was their community activities...
