LIDSTONE, Dorothy Carole (Wagar), archer (b 2 Nov 1938, Wetaskiwin, AB). She moved to VANCOUVER in 1955 and started shooting in 1962, developing into the best female archer in the world. She competed in her first Canadian championship in 1963 and set national points records while winning the Canadian title in 1969. Later that year she won the women's world championship in Valley Forge, PA, with a record-breaking score of 2,361 points, 110 more than the previous women's record and only 62 below...
