MACKENZIE, Ian Alistair, lawyer, politician (b 27 July 1890, Assynt, Scotland; d 2 Sept 1949, Banff, AB). After graduating in law from Edinburgh Univ he immigrated to BC in 1914. During WWI he served in France with the Seaforth Highlanders. His political career began in 1920 with his election to the provincial legislature as a LIBERAL.
