McBean, Marnie

McBEAN, Marnie, rower (b 28 Jan 1968, Vancouver). She grew up in VANCOUVER but moved to Toronto as a teenager and learned to row there. She teamed with Kathleen HEDDLE of Vancouver to win the straight pair races at the 1991 world championships. Both women were also part of the championship-winning Canadian 8 team at the same competition. The following year at the Barcelona Olympics the pair won gold medals in the same 2 events.
