McINNES, Thomas Robert, doctor, lt gov 1897–1900 (b 5 Nov 1840, Lake Ainslie, Cape Breton Island; d 19 Mar 1904, Vancouver). The son of Scottish immigrants to Nova Scotia, he studied medicine in the US and after serving in the Civil War returned to Canada to settle in Dresden, ON.
