Montague Harbour

MONTAGUE HARBOUR is a protected bay on southwest GALIANO ISLAND. Occupied by Coast Salish for at least 3,000 years (see SALISHAN FIRST NATIONS), it is known for its shell middens and white shell beach. In 1959 it was established as BC's first MARINE PARK (97 ha).
