MOORE, James Mavor, writer, producer, actor, teacher (b 8 Mar 1919, Toronto; d 18 Dec 2006, Victoria). While still a philosophy student at the Univ of Toronto, he was a pioneer in Canadian radio drama and documentary and, after overseas service in Army Intelligence, became active with his mother Dora Mavor Moore in the post-war revival of professional THEATRE.
