MURPHY, Cal, football coach, general manager (b 12 Mar 1932, Winnipeg). He moved to VANCOUVER at an early age and established himself as an outstanding athlete, particularly in FOOTBALL and BASEBALL. After coaching at Notre Dame and Vancouver College high schools he moved into the US college system as a football coach before returning to Vancouver in 1974 to become offensive-line coach for the BC LIONS.
