MURRAY, Margaret "Ma" (Lally), newspaper editor (b 3 Aug 1888, Windy Ridge, KS; d 25 Sept 1982, Lillooet). After leaving school at age 13 she worked as a hired girl in rural Kansas, then graduated from a business course and came north in 1912 to VANCOUVER, where she went to work for George Murray (b 1890, Woodstock, ON; d 19 Aug 1961, Vancouver), a newspaper publisher.
