NEWLANDS, a former AGRICULTURAL and LOGGING settlement 42 km northeast of PRINCE GEORGE, was a station on the GRAND TRUNK PACIFIC RWY. A SAWMILL operated here intermittently from the 1920s to the late 1960s. A few hardy homesteaders remain in the area.
