NON-PARTISAN ASSOCIATION is a civic political organization in VANCOUVER. It formed as an alliance of Liberals and Conservatives in 1937 in reaction to the election of 3 CCF candidates to city council the previous year. Members vowed "to keep politics out of city hall," though in practice this meant keeping socialists and other left-wingers off council.
