NUYTTEN, Phil, underwater diver, inventor (b 13 Aug 1941, Vancouver; d 13 May 2023). He began scuba diving at age 12 and opened his own diving shop when he was still a teenager. As a commercial diver he worked on heavy construction projects and in the offshore oil industry. His diving company, Can-Dive Services, now Can-Dive Ltd, made him a millionaire.
