ONDERDONK, Andrew, railway builder (b 30 Aug 1848, New York City; d 22 June 1905, Oscawana, NY). He supervised construction of 540 km of CPR mainline in BC. As a young engineer he worked for the Central Railroad of New Jersey and on improvements to San Francisco harbour.
